Chapter 7: Crushed and Broken
Operation Watchtower is set in the wake of 9/11. Follow Nicholas Grayson, a haunted FBI agent; Belle Flower, a runaway from a family of circus freaks; and Senator Bryce Wexley, a man replaced by a thing that wears his face. What begins as investigation becomes revelation. What is known cannot be unmade.
Bryce Wexley, haunted by a hidden past and a mysterious twin impersonating him on national TV, confronts questions of identity, destiny, and power. Memories of a brutal legacy, a royal lover’s death, political murder, and his family’s cold ambition collide in the present as he forges intimacy with Trenody, a believer in alien conspiracies. Beneath the surface, secrets stir — ghosts of crimes, false heroes, and a buried body known only as that thing down by the docks.

Walk on, pilgrim… though each step cracks the shell of this counterfeit world. The Archons stir when you speak your true name, and the Hidden Light flickers, straining against the prison of flesh and dream. Should you break through the veil, remember this: the farther you climb toward the Pleroma, the more the shadows cling, whispering that the Demiurge still watches — and that no trail leads out, only deeper in.
